A family photoshoot with me isn't just an appointment to tick off your list. It's a special experience.
We'll meet outdoors – in nature around Hamburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, or at your home – and I'll simply be there to guide you. No stiff poses. No "everyone smile." You can romp around, cuddle, be silly, and just be yourselves.
This is exactly how the pictures you will still enjoy looking at many years from now are created.

Family photo shoots are especially beautiful during times of change: when a new sibling arrives, when the children are still small enough to be carried in your arms, or when you simply realize - now is the moment.
There’s no wrong time. But there is a time when you’ll be glad you did it.
LET YOUR CHILDREN JUST BE CHILDREN
The most common thing I hear before a family photo shoot:
“Our kids definitely won’t go along with this.”
And you know what? Sometimes that’s actually true - at least for the first few minutes. Kids are sometimes skeptical when they don’t know what to expect. That’s completely normal. And I’m prepared for it.
I don’t work against children - I work with them. Children who want to run are free to run. Children who are shy are given time. Children who’d rather collect sticks with Mom or Dad than smile for the camera do exactly that - and that’s often when the most beautiful photos are taken.
You don’t need to prepare your children for anything or explain anything to them.

Many families put off a photo shoot - because they’re in the middle of renovations, because their next hair appointment is long overdue, because the kids are going through a rough patch, or because they feel uncomfortable in front of the camera.
But the truth is: the family you are right now - with everything that comes with it - is worth capturing.
You don’t need to prepare anything. I’d be happy to help you choose your clothes: calm, natural colors that go well together and feel comfortable, without making you look like you’re dressed up. Everything else will fall into place.

Before the shoot, we’ll talk about you - your daily life, your favorite places, and what’s on your children’s minds right now. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that suits you in terms of location, time, and atmosphere.
During the photo shoot, I’ll gently guide you through the process - with specific prompts that don’t feel like instructions. You don’t have to remember anything. I’ll make sure we create situations where genuine moments can unfold.
After the photo shoot, take your time to choose your favorite photos - from a beautifully designed online gallery that I’ll set up for you.

How much does a family photo shoot cost?
Prices start at 329 EUR. For family photo shoots, however, I recommend the larger packages that include more time. These packages include a longer shoot duration starting at 60 minutes. This allows for a more relaxed atmosphere, greater flexibility, and enough space for your children to settle in at their own pace. The result is relaxed family photos without any time pressure. I’d be happy to send you all the details about my packages, prices, and custom options upon request.
How long does a family photo shoot take?
A family photo shoot with me usually lasts 60 to 90 minutes. That might seem like a long time at first, but it usually goes by quickly. Children often need a few minutes to feel comfortable in an unfamiliar setting and relax. I intentionally set aside this time - it allows us to capture relaxed, authentic photos without any stress.
What should we wear for the family photo shoot?
Natural, muted colors and clothing that makes you feel comfortable are the best choice. Cream white, sandy tones, muted blue, sage green, and soft earth tones create a particularly harmonious look. Large logos, neon colors, or very bold patterns often distract from what’s most important: you as a family. I’d be happy to help you choose your outfits.
What if my child doesn't cooperate during the photo shoot?
That’s perfectly normal and not a problem at all. With me, kids don’t have to sit still or “behave.” They’re free to play, run around, and just be themselves. Little ones often need a few minutes to settle in. It’s precisely these natural moments that make a family photo shoot so special. Authentic family photos rarely result from pressure, but rather from exploring, cuddling, laughing, and playing together.
Where will the family photo shoot take place?
A family photo shoot usually takes place outdoors in nature, in the city, or at your home. I recommend choosing a location where you feel comfortable. Popular locations include parks, forests, heathlands, lakes, or the Elbe beach. I often photograph families in peaceful natural settings or favorite urban spots. A photo shoot at home is also possible if you’d like to capture your family’s everyday life. We’ll choose the right location together.
Is it possible to have a family photo shoot in bad weather?
Basically, yes. I’ll keep an eye on the weather forecast for you, and we’ll stay in touch. Cloudy weather is often actually ideal for photos. Clouds usually provide soft, even light and create relaxed-looking photos without harsh shadows. If the weather really isn’t suitable, we’ll work together to find a new date.
Do you also photograph large family gatherings or multi-generational photo shoots?
My photography focuses on family moments in smaller groups - for example, parents with their children or grandparents with their grandchildren. I do not currently offer large multi-generational photo shoots involving more than two adults, different branches of the family, or very large groups.
