What is the difference between a marriage proposal photo shoot and an engagement photo shoot?

For a proposal photo shoot, I’ll be there to capture the moment of the proposal itself - without your partner knowing. For an engagement photo shoot, you’re already engaged, and we’ll photograph you together as a couple - in a relaxed, planned setting that’s completely tailored to you.

What happens after the proposal?

If you’d like, I can take some photos of you right after the ceremony as a newly engaged couple. Those first moments together after saying “I do.” Many couples especially cherish these photos because the emotion is still so fresh. This is easy to arrange in advance.

How far in advance should I schedule the appointment?

As early as possible - especially when it comes to a marriage proposal. The more time we have, the better we can coordinate the details together.

Can you help us choose a venue, too?

Yes, I’d be happy to. I know many beautiful spots in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein - romantic locations by the water, in the countryside, or in the city. If you already have a special place in mind, I’d be happy to work with that as well.

Before the shoot, we’ll talk about you and where, when, and how your special moment took place or is planned to take place. Whether I’m there for a proposal or planning an engagement photo shoot with you, we’ll go over all the details together to ensure everything is well-planned and relaxed.

During the shoot, I’ll be there with you, guiding you calmly and professionally. During the proposal, I’ll capture your moment without interrupting - you’ll experience the moment, focusing entirely on each other. During the engagement shoot, I’ll guide you through the process in a relaxed manner with suggestions that don’t feel like posing.

After the shoot, you’ll select your favorite photos at your leisure. You’ll then receive the finished, edited photos to download.

Yes, I’d be happy to. We’ll discuss a plan together, as well as your wishes and ideas. I’ll help you choose your outfit and the location, and make sure your partner has no idea what’s coming. There are several options - whatever you prefer. I can discreetly assist with the proposal from behind the scenes, without your partner noticing me. Or we can disguise the whole thing as a regular couple’s photo shoot - your partner will think it’s just about taking some nice pictures of the two of you, and will be surprised by the proposal during the shoot. We’ll discuss together which option suits you best.
