When is the best time for a maternity photo shoot?

Every pregnancy is unique. As a general guideline, I recommend the period between the 30th and 34th weeks of pregnancy - your belly is nicely rounded, and you can still move around easily. Ultimately, the right time is whenever you feel comfortable. Please feel free to contact me early so we can plan the ideal appointment together.

Where will the photo shoot take place?

We’ll decide that together. We can take photos outdoors - for example, in the woods, at the beach, in the city, or in a field. Or I can come to your home for a personal photo shoot. Both options have their own charm - I’d be happy to help you decide.

Calm, natural colors work best - cream white, sandy tones, sage green, or soft earth tones. Flowing fabrics that accentuate the belly look especially beautiful. After you book, I’ll share my outfit tips with you - so you can relax and enjoy the anticipation leading up to your shoot.

Can my partner come along?

Yes, of course. You can come together or you can come alone - whatever feels right for you. Both options are wonderful and tell your personal story.

Hat is a home story photoshoot?

For a home photo shoot, I’ll come to your home—to your familiar surroundings, with your belongings, and in your own atmosphere. The result is photos that feel especially personal and intimate. Particularly lovely are details like the finished nursery, the little preparations for the baby, or simply your everyday life together just before the birth.

How long does a maternity photo shoot take?

That depends on the package you've booked - between 30 and 90 minutes. I'll make sure to schedule enough time so you can take breaks in between. Your comfort is always my top priority during the shoot.

How far in advance can I book a maternity photo shoot?

It’s best to get in touch as soon as possible. But last-minute requests are also welcome. Just send me a message and we’ll see what we can do.

As a general guideline, the period between the 30th and 34th week of pregnancy has proven to be ideal - your belly is beautifully rounded and visible, and you can still move around easily and feel comfortable.

But ultimately, if you feel comfortable and your belly has a beautiful curve, then the timing is right. It’s best to get in touch early so we can plan the ideal date together.

That’s completely understandable: Your body is changing, which is unfamiliar and can sometimes feel strange. That’s exactly why it’s important to me that you feel comfortable and at ease from the very beginning.

I’ll guide you through the process with great sensitivity. Often, it’s precisely these moments of change that result in the most beautiful photos.

HOW THE MATERNITY PHOTO SHOOT WORKS

Before the shoot, we’ll talk about you - what kind of location suits you, what you’d like to see in the photos, and how you feel most comfortable. I’ll help you choose your outfits and find the perfect setting for the photo shoot.

During the shoot, I’ll guide you through the process in a relaxed way - with gentle prompts that don’t feel like posing. It’s not about looking perfect, but about capturing you exactly as you are.

After the shoot, you’ll have plenty of time to select your favorite photos from a personal online gallery.
