On a warm summer evening in June, I had the pleasure of photographing this couple at the edge of a forest just outside Hamburg. Amid tall pine trees, sandy paths, and the soft chirping of birds, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere took hold as the sun slowly disappeared behind the trees. The two of them enjoyed their time together, laughed with each other, and left their everyday lives behind for a moment.
Just a few weeks earlier, they had talked about how nice it would be to have photos together. Shortly after that, she surprised him with a gift certificate for a couples photo shoot for his birthday.
