COUPLE PHOTO SHOOT IN FALL
The week in September had started with rain. And then came that evening.
As if autumn had been turned up a notch just for the occasion, it showed itself from its very best side, right on time for the photo shoot. The sun slowly disappeared behind the pine trees, bathing the dune landscape in warm, golden light, and the couple stood right in the middle of it all, completely relaxed, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
That’s exactly how they’d envisioned it during our initial consultation. And that’s exactly how it turned out.

TWO PEOPLE, A SUNSET, AND THE SILENCE OF NATURE
Although the two of them had never been in front of the camera together before, it didn’t take long for their initial awkwardness to fade away. They laughed, talked, and enjoyed their time together - and I was able to capture what happened all on its own.
On the way back to the parking lot, we paused once more. No one else was around, just a few hares darting through the dunes. The silence and the last light of the day perfectly rounded out the evening.
A couple’s photo shoot in the fall doesn’t get much more beautiful than this.
WHY THE SANDBERGE NEAR HAMBURG ARE ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONS
The sand dunes on the outskirts of Hamburg are among my favorite locations for couple photo shoots - all year round, but especially in the fall.
The sand reflects the light of the setting sun in a way that hardly any other location can match. The pine trees, the vastness, the silence - a combination that creates images that feel timeless. Far enough from the city to find peace, yet close enough to be easily accessible.
The best time: the golden hour just before sunset. That’s when the light turns warm and everything looks a little softer than it does during the day.
